How to play Hood Warfare 2
Hood Warfare 2 is Trapstar Games’ online Windows shooter on Steam. The store tells you to play with other people or against bots. It does not document a party system.

I compared the store sentence with Steam discussions and one Reddit thread on 13 October 2026. The official line is: play online with friends and other players, or set up a match against bots, pick the map, mode, and settings, and add bots to fill the teams. Separately, players posted that they still needed a way to invite friends into a party, that matches were full of bots, and that the host changed several times in a single match. I am labeling those as player reports. Trapstar has not published whether the netcode is peer-to-peer.
What you can do from the official description
Install from Steam on Windows. The official description offers online play with other people or a custom match with a chosen map, mode, settings and bots. Some players reported bot-filled public matches; that is not a measured bot ratio for every lobby.
- Public play: the store says online with friends and other players.
- Private practice: bots, your map, your mode.
- Voice: patch 1.0.10 added all-chat and team chat. Push-to-talk defaults to T. Open mic is a setting.
- Spawns: the same patch added spawn protection after players died on exit.
What is not documented
We have not verified a working friend-invite or party flow. Some players requested party support in launch-week discussions; a request alone does not prove the feature is absent from every build. Before buying specifically for a group, check the latest patch notes and ask the official Discord whether your current version supports the flow you need. The sources checked do not document a per-mode player cap.

How do I invite friends?
The studio has not published an invite flow. Players asked for a party system in the first week. Use Steam’s own friends list only if an in-game option appears for you, and do not assume one exists.
Why is the match all bots?
The game can fill teams with bots. Players reported public matches doing that often. That is a player report, not a published matchmaking rule.
